What to Expect
An attended Nursery is available during the worship hour for infants and toddlers under 3 years of age. Ask a Greeter or Usher for directions.
Worship Service
You will receive a printed bulletin as you are welcomed into the Sanctuary. Prior to the Call to Worship, we share announcements and greet one another. We follow a traditional style of worship, using prayer, liturgies of confession and assurance of forgiveness, the Gloria Patri and choral anthem. We sing hymns from the old red Hymnbook published by the Presbyterian Church USA. The Pastor invites all young children forward to sit with him on the pulpit steps to hear the children’s message.
Young children age 3 through 2nd grade are then led out of the Sanctuary by adult leader(s) to Children’s Church for fun activities of learning and sharing.
Worship continues with the offering of gifts to God, stating our faith (Apostles’ Creed or Nicene Creed), reading Scripture, preaching the Word, praying, and singing hymns.
We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper the first Sunday of every the month, and during special services on Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday.
On the last Sunday of each month, we enjoy an old fashion hymnsing during the worship hour.
Adult Sunday School class meets from 9:30 to 10:30 each Sunday morning in the Parlor.
